Tara, Level 5

Tara is a Level 5 Stylist at Chroma Salon’s Wallingford location and one of the salon’s original team members. With over a decade of experience and a calm, pampering approach, she’s become a trusted name in the Seattle hair community for customized color, flawless blondes, and rich, multi-dimensional brunettes.

After graduating from Washington State University in 2009, Tara pursued her passion for hair and completed her training at the Gary Manuel Aveda Institute in 2010. As one of Chroma’s founding stylists, she has grown alongside the salon, taking countless advanced education courses in cutting and color—always staying ahead of trends while staying true to her philosophy of natural, elevated beauty.

Tara is especially known for her skill with blonding techniques like balayage, highlights, and ombré, creating soft, healthy, luminous color. Her brunette guests leave with rich, dimensional tones that enhance their natural depth and shine. Her goal is to make each guest look effortlessly polished while maintaining the integrity of the hair.

Every service with Tara begins with an Aveda signature head, neck, and shoulder massage, and ends with a smooth, bouncy blowout—making the entire salon experience as relaxing as it is beautiful.

When she’s not behind the chair, Tara enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, traveling, and unwinding with a great glass of wine.

Her favorite Aveda product is the Aveda Men Pure-Formance Grooming Clay, which she uses on all hair types to create touchable texture, tame flyaways, and add volume with a flexible finish.
