Tara, Level 5
Tara graduated from Washington State University in 2009 and began doing hair the same year. She graduated from the Gary Manuel Aveda Institute in 2010 and is one of the original employees of Chroma Salon in Wallingford. Tara has taken countless advanced courses in cutting and coloring offered by Chroma, but really excels with color.
Tara is known for achieving the perfect color, whether it's the ideal blonde or a rich brown. When coloring blonde she prefers the techniques of balayage, highlighting or ombre to create the perfect brightness and tone while keeping the hair healthy and shiny. Brunettes leave with rich, multi-dimensional color. Her hair philosophy is to make someone look natural- but elevated! She strives to make the salon experience calm, relaxing, and full of pampering. Tara begins each service with a head, neck and shoulder massage, and each guest leaves with a bouncy blowout.
Tara enjoys spending time with her family and being outside. She also loves traveling and a nice glass of wine!
Favorite Aveda product: Aveda Men Pure-Formance Grooming Clay. It works well for men’s hair but she also loves using it on her female guests to create piecey texture and volume while taming fly-aways.
