Alex, Level 4

Alex is a Level 4 Hair Stylist at Chroma Salon in Queen Anne. She attended the Gary Manuel Aveda Institute, graduating in 2011. She immediately began an internship at Gary Manuel Salon, assisting a top stylist and participating in weekly continuing education classes for a year. After completing her internship, Alex worked in the advanced training salon for another year. She then joined Chroma Salon in downtown Seattle, where she worked for two years before moving to San Diego. In San Diego, she continued her career as a stylist for 10 years, further diversifying her clientele and perfecting her signature blonding techniques. Now back in Seattle, Alex brings her passion for creating natural, sun-kissed blonde styles to her clients at Chroma Salon.

Alex excels at creating the quintessential California blonde and lived-in looks that grow out beautifully and are low maintenance for her guests. Her true passion lies in hair extensions. Alex believes there is no better feeling than giving a guest instant gratification and a complete transformation that boots their confidence and joy.

Outside the salon, Alex loves exploring Seattle’s food scene, trying new recipes she finds on Instagram, and staying active with Pilates. She also enjoys catching up with friends over happy hour or brunch and riding beach cruisers on warm, sunny days.

Her favorite Aveda product is the Light Elements Smoothing Fluid, which she values for its ability to add extra shine to any style and keep hair from frizzing throughout the day—an essential for Seattle’s unpredictable weather.
