Mars, Level 1

Mars is a stylist at Chroma Salon in Wallingford, known for their creative approach to hair cutting, color, and texture. A graduate of the Gene Juarez Academy in Mountlake Terrace, Mars completed their cosmetology program in 2022 and immediately began an in-salon apprenticeship to refine their technical skills and expand their experience behind the chair. Since then, they’ve continued to grow their expertise with advanced training in curly hair care and styling.

Mars specializes in long haircuts with movement, curly hair shaping, and edgy, expressive styles like shags and mullets. Whether you’re looking for lived-in texture or something bold and punk-inspired, Mars brings both precision and artistry to every cut. They also love working across the color spectrum—from natural gray coverage and blonding foilsto bold fashion shades and vivid colors.

Clients appreciate Mars’s inclusive, thoughtful approach and attention to detail. They aim to create a welcoming space for every guest, while customizing each style to fit your features, routine, and personality.

Outside the salon, Mars is a dedicated concert-goer and music lover. They enjoy traveling to music festivals around the country and are currently learning how to play bass guitar. When they're not on the move, Mars can be found roller skating, watching horror films, or hanging out with their two cats.

Their favorite Aveda product is Confixor, a lightweight styling essential that helps hold volume and bounce after a blowout—perfect for creating soft, loose curls that last.
