Maria, Level 2

Maria obtained her cosmetology license in 2017 from Gene Juarez Academy and continued with the Gene Juarez Apprenticeship program, which is 9 months of advanced training. In the program she chose to specialize in design which included shadowing premiere artists, taking models and theory. In the past she had worked in the Downtown Seattle and Alderwood Gene Juarez locations. Maria is used to delivering a refreshing and polished look.

Maria enjoys working with people trying to enhance their natural features and educating them on how to recreate the style at home. Her goal is to help soothe the mind and make you feel pampered when visiting the salon. Her specialties include a thorough consultation in design and color, scalp massage, and finishing style. She enjoys working on fine hair, long hair cuts, and transformations.

Maria enjoys spending time out doors and engaging with friends and family. She’s been living in Washington since 2002 but originates from Mexico. Some of her hobbies include going to the gym and trying new makeup looks.

Her favorite product from Aveda is Speed of Light because it can be used by anyone to prepare for a style as a heat protector from heat. Not only does it work on every hair type but also speeds the blow dry time by 50% and detangles the hair while reducing breakage by 93%.
